Clare Blackmore

Director of Cloud Accounting

Clare Blackmore has been with Albert Goodman since 1986 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1993.

Alongside working with a mixed portfolio of commercial, education and academy clients, Clare became Director of Cloud Accounting in 2016 and is responsible for leading our team of cloud experts across our offices.  Clare led the team to win Xero’s Large Firm of the Year award in November 2018.  Clare believes that cloud accounting is a perfect fit with Albert Goodman’s philosophy of contributing to our clients’ success as it enables our advisors to use real-time information to support clients in running their business, and helps clients benefit from time-saving technology.  Clare also heads up our Outsourced Bookkeeping team, again promoting RTI to support clients in running their business.

Clare says:

“Albert Goodman have been advising and supporting businesses for over 150 years, and cloud accounting enables us to do that more easily and for more clients.”

Clare has extensive accountancy and business advisory experience and enjoys helping individuals and organisations achieve their aims.

For over 10 years Clare was Chair of Governors of a Taunton academy primary school which converted in 2011 and this has given her a strong practical interest in academies.  She hosted the inaugural meeting of the local Primary Academy Business Managers Group held at Albert Goodman in 2012 and continues to host a termly meeting for this group.
