Environmental Social Governance (ESG)

Simply thinking about environmental and social governance (ESG) is no longer option. Action is what is required. Across the country, individuals, businesses and consumers are making big changes to the way they go about their business to ensure that their actions are fair and their impact on the environment is nothing less than neutral.

Although the legislation only mandates this for large entities, from a reporting perspective, there is benefit to us all having a clear understanding of the reach of our impact.

At Albert Goodman we do not see ESG as an extra obligation to be managed. We see it as an opportunity to increase visibility over our operations and actions so that we can identify ways to drive efficiencies, reduce costs and promote more sustainable practice.

When considered as a whole, ESG is no small task. It can give a feeling of overwhelm and leave a questioning of where do I begin? That’s where we come in.

Here's how we can help

We can ensure that you start, or continue, on the right track. Different individuals and organisations will be at varied stages of their journey and will have diverse attitudes and timescales which need to be satisfied. Whether you are looking to simply comply with the regulations or take things a step further in considering your wider social impact we have a package which can support you.

Following the introduction of new legislation this year for businesses to prepare a Streamlined energy and carbon report (SECR) alongside their annual accounts, Albert Goodman took a proactive approach to help guide our business through the process of presenting this report. Albert Goodman lead by Sophie Parkhouse provided us with very helpful guidance on how to tackle this report, and all the way, they were on hand to offer help and assistance, which made us feel involved and taken care of, great job!

Carl Brown, Highbridge Caravans

Sophie was great to work with and was very thorough with her knowledge imparted to the local businesses.

Sally Raynes, Somerset County Council

It’s been a real pleasure working & liaising with Sophie & the team @ Albert Goodman to meet our new energy and carbon emission reporting obligations. Being honest we didn’t really know where or how to begin, so their experience together with their proactive suggestions, guidance & general approach were a real breath of fresh air, & have provided us with a template for future SECR compliance & improvement in the years to come.

John McLellan, King Lifting
