The role

We’re looking for an Administrator to join our centralised team in Taunton, to specifically support our busy tax team. You will be working closely with the other administration/reception colleagues across the firm.

You’ll assist our tax team with elements such as new client set up forms, contacting clients for personal information, basic tax returns, billing tasks, and calls with HMRC.

You’ll also be providing a professional, friendly, and helpful reception and telephone service to our clients, visitors and colleagues, together with general office administration work. This will include preparing correspondence and client letters, diary management, booking travel and answering queries.

You’ll get to work with a variety of people across AG, and of course our clients as well, so people skills and the ability to build relationships will be a big part of this role. You’ll also be providing progress reports and tracking the information you receive, so organisation skills and confidence using Word and Excel are a must.

What we need from you

• Some administrative experience, ideally within a busy office or high-quality customer service environment but this isn’t essential
• Confidence, and great communication skills
• High attention to detail; use of initiative and ability to work to deadlines
• Good planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills
• Software skills or the ability to pick up new software, including Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel and digital dictation
