Kate is a Partner in the Farms and Landed Estates team at Albert Goodman. A Chartered Accountant with over 16 years’ experience, she joined the firm in 2009 and has since built a reputation for delivering significant tax savings for farming families through her specialist knowledge of agricultural income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax reliefs.
With her roots firmly in agriculture, Kate grew up on her family’s arable farm in Warwickshire. Her hands-on farming background continues today, from summers spent driving tractors to now supporting her husband after they took the bold step of building a dairy farm in 2020.
Kate works closely with farming families of all shapes, sizes, and sectors. She helps them plan for the long term, combining commercial insight with practical business and strategic tax advice. A key part of her work involves guiding families through succession, ensuring that businesses and assets are passed on in a way that feels right for them — preserving both legacy and peace of mind.
Kate is proud to have saved her clients hundreds of thousands of pounds in income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax over the years.
Outside the office, Kate supports her husband’s dairy farm, raises their two sons, and is involved in Somerset Young Farmers.
