Join our next Bookkeepers & Finance Network event in Taunton on Wednesday 23rd September, bringing together bookkeepers and finance teams from across the region for a morning of learning, discussion and networking.
As always, our aim is to provide practical, relevant content that you can take away and apply in your day-to-day role, whilst creating an opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges.
New for this event – Drop-In Sessions
For the first time, we'll be offering one-to-one drop-in sessions with a member of our Outsourced Finance team. If you have an accounting, bookkeeping or Xero query you'd like to discuss, bring it along and we'll work through live examples with you where possible. Whether you're struggling with a process or looking for a more efficient way of working, our team will be on hand to help.
MTD IT: What Have We Learned So Far?
With the first MTD IT quarterly submissions now behind us, we'll look at what's gone well, where challenges have arisen, and the lessons bookkeepers and finance professionals are learning as the new rules bed in. The session will include an open discussion where attendees can share experiences, ask questions and exchange ideas on how to tackle common issues.
Excel Tips & Tricks for Bookkeepers and Finance Professionals
Excel remains one of the most valuable tools in a bookkeeper's toolkit, yet many of its most useful features go underused. In this practical session, we'll share shortcuts, formulas and techniques that can save time, improve accuracy and make day-to-day processing more efficient. Topics will include useful keyboard shortcuts, time-saving formulas, creating import templates to transform raw client data into a format suitable for bookkeeping software, using pivot tables to analyse and summarise data, and an introduction to Power Query. Whether you're looking to streamline your processes or pick up a few new tricks, you'll leave with practical ideas you can apply immediately.
Important Information
- Booking is essential so that we can ensure refreshments and catering are provided for everyone attending.
- Please avoid arriving too early as waiting space within our reception area is limited. Arriving a few minutes before the 10:30am start time would be greatly appreciated.
We look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new attendees for another engaging and practical session. Whether you're an experienced bookkeeper or work in a wider finance role, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn, share experiences and expand your network.
