I’m CIMA qualified had been working for private business in a very busy roll of Finance Manager whilst also helping my then husband build and manage his farming business. Coming to Albert Goodman was like a breath of fresh air for me. It enabled me to work the right number of hours to fit with my family commitments and had the added bonus of working within a supportive team.
I started working within the outsourcing area of Business Services, preparing VAT returns, management accounts and planning the work within the outsourcing department. I was recently involved with helping at the very start of our Silverfin project and this reminded me just how much I enjoy working with new IT systems and helping other people to get the best from the available technology.
This has led me to take a slightly sideways step and join the Cloud Team where I can use a somewhat different skill set and work with clients and colleagues alike to promote more effective and streamlined systems.
I have also joined the Sustainability Committee where I am delighted to see Albert Goodman working towards carbon neutral in the coming years.
The people that I have worked with over the last 5 years have been truly brilliant and fun to work with. I really relish the flexibility that I have in my role and the opportunities that arise to do the unexpected. I am looking forwards to seeing where the next 5 years take me!
