As Compliance Director, Jo is responsible for providing compliance advice, guidance and oversight across the firm. Her role includes monitoring the quality and suitability of client advice, supporting adviser training and development, overseeing supervision and competence arrangements, and ensuring internal policies and processes remain aligned with Financial Conduct Authority expectations.
She plays a key role in helping the firm maintain consistently high standards, manage risk effectively and evidence good client outcomes. Working closely with colleagues across the business, Jo helps embed a strong compliance culture and ensures compliance is viewed as an integral part of delivering clear, fair and appropriate financial planning advice.
Jo’s approach is practical, collaborative and proportionate, balancing regulatory requirements with the day-to-day realities of supporting clients and colleagues. She holds the CII Diploma in Financial Planning and maintains a strong interest in professional standards, regulatory developments and continuous improvement across the financial advice profession.
Outside work, Jo enjoys keeping active by walking and cycling on the nearby Exmoor hills and can often be found at her local outdoor swimming pool when weather permits.
