Dawn is a partner in the Forensic Accounting and Valuation Services and is the Head of Practice Protection for Albert Goodman.
Dawn is an experienced chartered accountant and forensic accounting expert. She started her career auditing owner-managed businesses and, soon after qualification, Dawn specialised in advising clients on forensic accounting matters. Dawn has also held other roles including leading the internal audit team for a Big Four firm.
Dawn’s forensic accounting experience spans both dispute resolution cases and forensic investigations. She acts for both claimants and defendants in civil matters, including loss of profit claims, business valuations, sale/purchase disputes and professional negligence. She has given evidence in Court.
Dawn has led many forensic investigations. These have involved investigating a wide range of allegations, including employee misconduct, false financial / regulatory reporting, procurement fraud and fictitious invoicing. She has also investigated potential wrongful trading in complex insolvencies, as part of the Administration team.
As well as helping clients to navigate their legal cases, Dawn also advises clients on how to mitigate their exposure to fraud, bribery and contract risk. She lectures on anti-fraud, anti-bribery and anti-modern slavery matters.
Outside of work, Dawn is kept busy looking after her young family and she enjoys singing in a community choir in Bristol.
