Caroline is Head of Employment Tax in our Bristol Office, bringing 50 years’ experience in tax, having started her career as an Inspector of Taxes in HMRC.
Caroline joined the firm in September 2025. After a short period of retirement Caroline decided that she wanted to take on a new challenge.
Caroline has advised charities on all aspects of employment tax, working in the not-for-profit sector for over 20 years, covering a wide range of topics from National Minimum Wage challenges, tax treatment of volunteers, HMRC compliance reviews and employment status, to name a few.
Caroline also worked for the Big 4 and headed national not-for-profit employment tax teams. Additionally, she has experience acting as a Trustee for a branch of Citizen’s Advice in Wales.
She is a regular speaker at sector-specific conferences and likes nothing better than running employment tax events.
