Sophie Parkhouse, Partner and President of the ICAEW South-West, wearing the ICAEW Presidents badge.
Sophie was previously Albert Goodman’s Technical and Training Director, and recently became the firm’s first non-portfolio holding Partner after 3 years’ service. Sophie’s new dual roles as Partner and President of ICAEW South West complement each other well and will aid her continued responsibility for training and development as well as compliance and technical and regulatory areas.
Sophie Parkhouse, Partner at Albert Goodman, commented: “I became a member of the South West committee on the recommendation of the then president, as a way of engaging with accountants in the South West and staying on top of current developments. I thoroughly enjoyed the level of engagement at the meetings and being naturally ambitious I wanted to take this a step further and put my slant on things.”
Richard Bugler, Managing Partner at Albert Goodman, explains: “We are very pleased to hear of Sophie’s election to President of the ICAEW South West, this achievement follows on from her recent promotion to Partner at Albert Goodman. We are delighted that Sophie’s expertise, drive and enthusiasm are being recognised externally, and are confident both the ICAEW and Albert Goodman will benefit from her appointment”.
