Albert Goodman Corporate Finance were pleased to have advised the owners of Coombe Farm Organic on their sale to Eversfield Organic after undertaking a short confidential marketing exercise.
Our team, comprising Neil Hutchings and Matt Chandler, was tasked to confidentially find a buyer for Coombe Farm Retail Ltd trading as 'Coombe Farm Organic'. Located in Crewkerne, Coombe Farm Organic is a provider of premium organic produce and was owned by the A H Warren Trust. The deal arranged was for Eversfield Organic Ltd to purchase the trade and assets, which included the transfer of all employees, and the move is anticipated to double the size of Eversfield Organic's online butchery business.
In addition to its online presence, Eversfield Organic operates several farm shops, organic inns, and cafés, as well as running the butcher and fishmongers in Selfridges Food Hall, London. The deal is great for the organic food sector with Eversfield sharing the same values over sustainability, supply chain, and organic produce.
Matt Chandler, Senior Corporate Finance Manager at Albert Goodman said - “This is a great result for both parties, and I am pleased we were able to achieve the desired outcome for our client quickly with the initial marketing commencing in March. Finding a buyer that was already operating in the organic meat market and located in the same region makes this a particularly pleasing sale to complete on."
