Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager - International Tax Focus

The role

We're looking for an ambitious Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager with a particular focus on delivering high quality compliance, risk management and governance services to our clients, and a strong interest in international tax, to join our growing team, based in either our Taunton or Bristol office.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of owner managed businesses, UK groups, multinational organisations, and internationally expanding businesses. You'll work closely with Partners, Directors and colleagues across the firm, helping clients navigate increasingly complex international tax issues while leading and developing a talented team.

The role will involve providing strategic advice on cross border tax matters and supporting clients through international growth, acquisitions, overseas investments and global compliance obligations.

What you’ll be doing

Examples of work may include:

  • Advising UK businesses expanding into overseas territories
  • Structuring international group operations and supply chains
  • Advising on the tax implications of overseas subsidiaries, branches and permanent establishments
  • Managing withholding tax and double tax treaty issues
  • Supporting inbound groups investing into the UK and outbound UK businesses expanding overseas
  • Working with overseas advisers to deliver coordinated international tax solutions

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial, practical advice for growing businesses.

What we need from you

Ideally you will:

  • Be CTA qualified and ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Have significant corporate tax experience, with exposure to international tax matters
  • Demonstrate knowledge of areas such as cross-border structuring, overseas expansion or double tax treaties
  • Be a confident and collaborative leader with experience managing and developing colleagues
  • Have excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Be commercially minded and capable of identifying advisory opportunities
  • Enjoy networking and business development activities

If your experience doesn't cover every area above but you have a genuine interest in developing an international tax specialism, we'd still encourage you to apply.

What we can give you in return

We offer a fantastic place to work with a competitive and flexible benefits package. This includes:

  • A minimum of 25 days holiday which increases with length of service, with Senior Managers starting at 28 days. Plus, the option to buy and sell holiday
  • An annual salary review
  • Group pension scheme
  • A Level 1 Medicash Plan provided to all employees
  • Life assurance, which includes access to a smart health app
  • An employee assistance programme for you and your family
  • One volunteering day per year
  • Cinema society discounts
  • GymFlex discounts
  • Bupa private medical insurance available
  • Electric car and cycle to work schemes
