Steve joined Albert Goodman in 2021 from another regional firm, strengthening Albert Goodman's existing VAT team. Steve’s career in dealing with complex VAT matters began in 1988 when working as a VAT inspector with HM Customs and Excise before it merged to become HMRC. Following this Steve worked within a 'Big 4' national accountancy firm.
Steve specialises in Land, Property, and Construction; Charities, in particular, education, heritage, arts, care, and welfare; and negotiations/disputes with the HMRC.
Steve lives in North Somerset and will split his time between our Taunton and Weston-super-Mare offices. Living in North Somerset allows Steve to indulge in his passions for Fish and Chips, Thatcher's Cider and walks on the beach.
