Kate Hardy joined Albert Goodman’s Farms and Estates team in late 2018, based in our Weymouth office.
Kate has worked in practice for over twenty years, working closely with both rural-based and small business clients in the Dorset and Somerset area. With a small business background, Kate specialises in rural diversified businesses such as furnished holiday lets and commercial lettings, although more recently has also become more heavily involved with clients moving towards new environmental and habitat schemes.
With a keen interest in tax, Kate qualified with the Association of Tax Technicians in December 2015 and was awarded the Somerset and Dorset prize for the November 2013 sitting. Kate later undertook her Chartered Tax Advisor exams, qualifying in 2021 with a focus towards Inheritance Tax and Trusts, which nicely dovetails her farms and estates work.
At weekends, Kate enjoys spending quality time with her two children, walking her black Lab Milo along the beach and Dorset coast path and entertaining family and friends.
