Joseph Doggrell is an audit and
assurance partner in Albert Goodman’s Business Services group providing audit
and accounts assistance to corporate and education clients. Joe joined Albert
Goodman in 2009 and has particular involvement in the construction market as
well as education, manufacturing, retail and group accounting. Joseph was
appointed as a Partner at Albert Goodman in May 2018.
Alongside working with corporate
clients, he has significant experience in the academies and education sector.
Having worked with academies since 2010, he has built up a wealth of experience
assisting with compliance services such as audit and accounts through to
supporting academies with their due diligence processes and internal financial
reporting and budgeting. Joe is now the lead Partner on many of the region’s
academy groups and prides himself on being available to assist school finance
teams in the ever-changing and dynamic sector in which they operate.
In 2015, he joined the Redstart
Learning Partnership, a multi-academy trust based in Somerset, and therefore
understands the challenges that academies and trustees face. This helps him to
show empathy and a practical side when dealing with complex situations.
Together with the rest of the Academy Schools team at Albert Goodman, Joe hosts
regular seminars for school business managers which are aimed at keeping the
manager up to date with the latest developments in the sector and also allow
for the sharing of best practice.
Joseph Doggrell also specialises
in working with businesses in the construction sector and acts for a number of
the South West’s largest independent construction businesses. Joseph supports
construction businesses of all sizes, from family owned independent businesses
through to large joint ventures. Joseph and his specialist team of construction
accountants can help year end accounts and audit, tax planning, ATED and CIS
returns. Joseph also works closely with our VAT specialist Richard Taylor to
give expert VAT advice to clients.
