Michelle Ferris has been with Albert Goodman since 2006 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. She is responsible for the firm’s Charity team, specialising in the public sector, not-for-profit and charitable organisations. She understands the needs of the third sector, and works closely with clients to develop an on-going relationship that involves not only the year-end accounts and audit requirements, but also year-round advise on governance and best practice.
Michelle has held several trusteeships, and is currently involved with a charity providing refugee aid as well as being a trustee of the Somerset Community Foundation. This enables her to have a real-world, practical view on the issues that affect charities on a daily basis. Michelle and her specialist charity accounts colleague Eleanor Berry present frequent Charities Seminars where major issues and compliance changes that impact the sector are covered.
