Following the appointment of Richard Bugler as Managing Partner, Albert Goodman strengthens its senior team further with the appointment of three key roles: Operations Director, Technical and Training Director, and Head of Human Resources.

Christine Scott MBA joins Albert Goodman as the firm’s Operations Director. With nearly 20 years of experience in legal management, Christine has extensive experience in compliance, business planning, business processes and improvement, quality assurance and change management. Her main roles include improving efficiency and processes across the business to provide solid foundations for Albert Goodman’s future.

Commenting on her appointment, Christine says, “I am delighted to be joining the firm, and look forward to building on the success of Albert Goodman’s great reputation by supporting the Management Team. I will be managing key aspects of the day to day running of the business as well as ensuring we offer our clients the highest quality and most efficient service under our ‘one firm’ initiative.”

As the new Technical and Training Director, Sophie Parkhouse will be responsible for technical training across the firm, and will work with the existing management team to ensure Albert Goodman’s technical standards are maintained. Her main focus will be Financial Reporting. Sophie completed her ACA training and became a qualified accountant with Albert Goodman, before spending six years teaching and then working for a national firm.

She comments, “It’s fantastic to be back at Albert Goodman at such an exciting time in UK Financial Reporting. I am looking forward to taking on the challenges that this transitional period will present and using the experience I have gained since qualification, to benefit my new colleagues and local businesses through the changes in the Financial Reporting frameworks.”

The third new recruit at Albert Goodman is Simon Irvin, who takes on the role of Head of Human Resources. With over 20 years senior HR leadership experience and Fellow membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Simon is well placed to manage Albert Goodman’s recruitment, training and development.

Simon says, “I am thrilled to be heading up Human Resources at Albert Goodman, where I have the opportunity to use my previous experience and qualifications to further develop the Human Resources offering at Albert Goodman. I want to ensure it remains at the forefront of attracting, developing and retaining the very best talent.”
