Join us for our upcoming Charities Update.
Michelle Ferris and Ellie Berry will talk through all the relevant financial updates for charities that you need to know – focused mainly on the new SORP, what will change, how it will impact you and what you need to be thinking about now. They will also touch on the changing financial thresholds for charities and how you might be able to use them to opt out of audit requirements or the SORP, plus other minor updates.

Our Speakers
Michelle Ferris - Partner - Specialist in Charity Accounting and Governance
Michelle is Albert Goodman’s Head of Charities and has worked in the not-for-profit sector for over 15 years. She assists charities with all areas of accounting and governance, including initial advice on charity set-ups, compliance work with accounts preparations, Independent Examinations and audits (Michelle is also an audit partner within the firm), and she advises boards and lectures on various areas of governance.
Ellie Berry - Audit Manager
Eleanor Berry has been working in practice for 10 years, qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2012. Ellie joined Albert Goodman in 2014 and now manages the majority of the firm's not-for-profit and charity work and acts as the primary point of contact for accounts preparation and independent examination work.
