We are currently recruiting for a Personal Tax Senior Manager / Manager to join us in our Taunton office. Working closely with our Tax Partners, Directors and fellow Senior Managers / Managers, you will help lead the Taunton and Firm wide Tax team whilst also delivering an exceptional Personal Tax service to a client portfolio.

The successful candidate will have the following essential experience, skills and attributes:

• Experience of reviewing HNWI tax calculations; tax planning for HNWI, to include non-doms tax planning advice, IHT and estate planning;
• Experience with HMRC aspect and full enquiries, discussing areas of concern with clients and with HMRC and presenting strong, clear arguments in the defence of clients;
• Excellent knowledge of capital gains tax planning for a range of issues such as on the main residence; investment properties; development land tax planning;
• Solid up to date knowledge of trust tax compliance and planning opportunities;
• Private Client / Personal Tax and Managerial / Senior Managerial experience;
• Proven track record in winning and retaining new business.

You may also have the following desirable experience, skills and attributes:

• Willingness to give presentations to staff and clients;
• Articulate and has solid business writing skills as will be required to write update articles for client newsletter and other publications;
• Approachable, team player and willing to act as a staff mentor to CTA trainees and newly qualified tax staff;
• Solid presentation and coaching skills with the ability to present to clients and staff;
• Excellent customer / client service, communication and leadership skills;
• Socially confident enjoying networking, organised and conscientious;
• Resilient, enthusiastic and strategic;
• Pro-active, analytical and has a high degree of emotional intelligence.
