We are currently looking for a Trainee Bookkeeper training to join our Outsourcing department based in our Taunton office. You will be responsible for maintaining client’s records on a variety of systems, preparing VAT returns and management accounts for a portfolio of clients that include sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies.

Ideally (although not essential), the successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Good organisational skills and IT skills
- Have a basic understanding of accounts/a balance sheet
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in different environments and dealing directly with clients
- Show enthusiasm to develop technical knowledge, skills and experience
- Use your own initiative and be able to identify when assistance is needed in finding a technical solution
To achieve your chosen training qualification with us and then to consistently give the highest quality and latest advice to clients you must be competent at studying and passing exams. An indicator of this can be your past studies and exams which is why we use these results as part of an ideal entry criteria. It is not absolute as we will also consider other factors such as experience and other qualifications however as an indicator for the following qualifications we look for the following grades:-
AAT – Ideally a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) mostly at Grade A*-B / 9 – 5, including Maths and English and a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent) grade A*- B.
