An exciting apprenticeship opportunity has arisen within our IT Team. Albert Goodman are a full-service accountancy, tax, financial planning and business advisory firm. Our busy IT team provide support across our Albert Goodman offices. This role will be based in Taunton, however may involve travel to other sites. The role requires the individual to support with all aspects of our IT service, from assisting other teams at the helpdesk, through to desk rollouts and new implementations. Training will be given on the specifics of the role including professional Microsoft training and examinations.

Working as part of our IT Support Team you will support Windows, Azure, and Office 365 as well as a range of sector specific applications across Multiple offices from a centralised data centre.

Whilst fulfilling this role, you will be studying for a Level 3 ICT Apprenticeship through Bridgwater & Taunton College, starting June 2022. You can read out more about the Apprenticeship here.

The role will include:

  • Troubleshooting individual desktop and system problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software incidents
  • Assisting with incident and problem management impacting multiple users
  • Providing exceptional service support to the firm and third parties
  • Contributing to policies, processes and procedures
  • Installing, maintaining and supporting new applications
  • Working to service level agreements
  • Prioritising and managing several open cases and mini projects at one time
  • Keeping up to date with advancements in technology
  • Conducting reviews of services, application delivery, patching and anti-virus

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

This is a trainee position and we acknowledge that candidates will not have a large amount of experience in this role. Ideally, we are looking for candidates that have customer service experience in any environment, and embrace our values of collaboration, trust, progression and impact.
