An exciting opportunity has arisen within our HR Team for an HR Support Apprentice based in Taunton.

Our busy HR team support the firm by ensuring processes, policies and advice is given on all people related matters in a friendly and professional manner. This includes absence, performance, benefits, contracts, employment, recruitment, staff retention, well-being and non-technical training. Within the team we also look after the firm’s own payroll. We are based in Taunton, but support all 6 of our offices.

This full-time position is to support our HR team with a range of tasks, whilst studying for a Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship through Bridgwater & Taunton College. It is a 21–24 month apprenticeship which also includes a Level 3 CIPD Foundation Cert in People Practice. You can read out more about the Apprenticeship here.

The role will include:

  • Responding to a wide range of written and verbal HR and recruitment enquiries
  • Ensuring HR documentation and information is up to date
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Being a point of contact for employees on any HR related queries
  • Administration of applications - recruitment system, communication with candidates, arranging tests & interviews
  • Producing Management Information to identify trends and sharing analysis to drive improvements
  • Completing letters and contracts
  • Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents
