Care Awards 2016

We were delighted to be the main sponsor of the Care Focus Care Awards 2016, held at Wellsprings Leisure complex in Taunton. Now in its 9th edition, the Care Awards celebrate the very best of care provision across the South-West. With a variety of changes from previous editions, including the introduction of  a number of new awards for 2016, the Care Awards 2016 proved a record-breaking year in terms of nominations from within the industry.  The popular ‘Outstanding Contribution Award’ was also reinstated and almost 400 people filled the room to watch Ben McGrail of BBC Somerset present the awards.

Julie Hopkins, Head of Care at Albert Goodman, gave the opening speech on the evening, which she used to stress the importance of outstanding care in our society.  “I was very proud to deliver the opening speech at the Care Focus (South West) CIC Care Awards 2016 and I would like to congratulate to all of the nominees and winners. The care sector faces tough challenges and it is important to celebrate those whose dedication and commitment are raising standards within the industry”
