Albert Goodman is delighted to announce the promotion of Pat Tomlinson to Partner, effective from March 2018.
Bringing the total number of Partners at the firm to 15, Pat was appointed as an Associate within Albert Goodman’s agricultural team in 2015. His 30-year career has surrounded finance within the UK farming and food sectors and their respective supply chains. He spent 15 years in HSBC’s Agriculture team latterly heading the bank’s UK Agriculture business and moved his career into the accountancy sector in 2010, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2016.
Pat comments, “I am thrilled to join the partnership, having had the privilege of working with one of the best agricultural accounting teams in the South West and as Partner, I look forward to helping the firm continue to grow its specialist work with the farming sector, which has remained a privilege and pleasure to work with throughout my career”.
Pat works with a portfolio of farming and food-related clients, providing a range of conventional accountancy services, as well as bespoke strategic commercial and financial advice.
He adds, “I am confident that the combination of my commercial experience and technical accountancy and tax knowledge gives Albert Goodman a unique edge over competitors, helping our farming team to really add value to our clients’ businesses and their families.”
