Albert Goodman has announced the promotions of Sam Kirkham and Michael Cahill to Partners, from September 2015.
Bringing the total number of Partners at the firm to 16, Sam and Michael are “home-grown talent”, having started their careers with Albert Goodman in 1996 and 2003 respectively.
Sam Kirkham is a chartered certified accountant and chartered tax advisor. She specialises in tax planning for agricultural businesses and advises rural estates, bloodstock businesses and high net worth individuals on land and property transactions.
Sam comments, “I am delighted to join the partnership. I have had the privilege of working for one of the best agricultural accounting teams in the South West and as Partner, I will continue the fantastic contribution the firm makes to the local agriculture sector. I am confident that my practical knowledge and specialist tax expertise will ensure our agricultural clients continue to receive first class accounting, tax and business advice.”
Michael’s specialism lies in providing accounting, audit, tax and commercial advice to incorporated owner managed and family businesses. He works with business clients in a wide range of sectors including construction and property, engineering, wholesale, retail and the services industry.
Michael will continue to expand the firm’s accounting and audit department, with particular interest in supporting the firm’s growth in North Somerset. Commenting on his promotion, Michael says, “I am looking forward to building on the great relationships I have with my clients, and challenging them to fulfil their own and their business aspirations.
