Leading South West Chartered Accountants, Tax Consultants and Financial Planners Albert Goodman announces its merger with well-established and successful North Somerset accountancy practice T P Lewis & Partners. The merged business will be part of the Albert Goodman group and will be known as Albert Goodman Lewis.
The formation of Albert Goodman Lewis is the result of Albert Goodman’s search to find a North Somerset based chartered accountancy firm which shares its heritage and values. Albert Goodman is already active in the North Somerset business community and the merger means the firm can now offer an enhanced service to clients in the Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare areas, as well as more widely across North Somerset. With the addition of TP Lewis & Partners, Albert Goodman’s prominence across the South West grows significantly – increasing the overall staff headcount to in excess of 240.
David Griffin, Managing Partner at Albert Goodman, says, “This merger significantly strengthens our operations in North Somerset. We have an ambitious growth strategy, involving both organic growth and merging with smaller practices that add value. TP Lewis & Partners is a highly successful local firm that enjoys a solid reputation and strong portfolio of owner managed and family businesses, partnerships, sole traders and high net worth individuals.
“The merger reinforces our already growing presence in North Somerset, allowing us to provide an enhanced range of services to our clients and will create new opportunities for our highly talented teams. Most importantly, however, TP Lewis & Partners share our own ethos towards high quality client service and will add significantly to our aim to be recognised as the firm that contributes most to our clients’ success.”
TP Lewis & Partners is a well-established regional accountancy practice with a strong track record advising entrepreneurial businesses and providing business owners with a wide range of services from its offices in Burnham-on-Sea and Wedmore.
Terry Lewis, founder of TP Lewis & Partners, adds, “We are thrilled to merge with Albert Goodman – a distinguished and well respected regional firm that has been established for nearly 150 years.
“This move provides our client base with security and continuation, as they will be working with the same people, just under a different banner. We have a great fit with Albert Goodman in terms of the type of clients both firms service. As far as our clients are concerned it will be business as usual, but with the added benefit of being able to take advantage of the complete range of services available from Albert Goodman.”
