Albert Goodman is celebrating its 150th year anniversary with a 150km bike ride on 30 September 2016. A team of eight staff members will cycle to each of the firm’s offices located across the South West, to raise money for charity.
The firm has chosen to support a total of six charities during the anniversary year: St Margaret’s Hospice, Julia’s House, Weston Hospice, Gracie Thorne Appeal, Brainwave Centre and Kings College Hospital Liver Transplant Team. Starting at the Weymouth offices at approximately 6am, the team will begin their cycle spending approximately eight hours in the saddle, stopping at offices in Yeovil, Chard, Taunton, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, and Wedmore, before finally crossing the finish line at Weston-super-Mare.

Each office will host a mini party for the cyclists on arrival, selling cakes and refreshments, with all contributions being equally divided between each of the charities. Further to the donations made at each pit stop, the Albert Goodman Partners will match the money raised by the cyclists’ efforts up to a total of £3000
Head of Business Development and Marketing, Charles Olney – one of the eight team members – comments on the upcoming event, “This is a momentous anniversary for Albert Goodman and the bike ride seems like the most fitting way to celebrate it. We get to have a great time on our bikes, those in the office get to eat plenty of cake and the chosen charities benefit at the end of it.”
The other team members are Iain McVicar, Jason Belcher, Alex Covey, Steve Tucker, Chris Womack, Lee Sadler, James Wade. If you would like to sponsor our intrepid cyclists you can do so on the Just Giving page that has been set up AG150 Just Giving. We’ll be posting updates tracking the cyclist’s progress throughout the day on our Twitter and Facebook pages
